Alone

so this was a final for school.... English class actually, my teacher wanted us to connect two works we had studied over the semester with a common theme and then create a work of art, in any medium of our choice. I decided to paint, and I connected Frankenstein and The Fifth Child. Both were about a character that was a social outcast in his society, and one day I just saw this picture in my head. I know its a little crude, but that's just kind of my style when it comes to using acrylics. And I didn't do faces not because I'm lazy, but because I wanted people to focus on the idea of the painting rather than the actual details of it. This work took forever!!! First I had to sketch all the people, then paint the grey area in between them, then paint all of their clothing (and mixing a darker color for every color for shading ) and THEN i had to mix a good skin color (fellow painters you know how hard that is! ) and paint all the heads. Phew! Hope you like it!
